About The Department

The department of Geography started its journey from the session 2001-2002 with a meager amount of 20 general stream students to cater to the educational needs of the weaker sections of this Block in particular and to other parts of the districts in general under North Bengal University. At present both honors and general course are running with three sanctioned full-time teaching posts and one part-time teaching post. Besides, there are four guest faculties in this department. Now the college is under affiliation to the University of Gour Banga, Malda. It is situated at 2^nd floor of the main building (over the administrative block). There are two class rooms, one computer laboratory, one instrument laboratory and one small teachers’ room. The total area is about 1770 sq feet.
