Received travel grant for participation in the UCSIA Summer School  organised by the University of Antwerp, Belgium from the 27th of August until the 2nd of September 2017.

Received partial travel grant for paper presentation in the 26th GAPS (Association for Anglophone Postcolonial Studies, Germany) conference on Ideology in Postcolonial Texts and Contexts organized by the University of Munster, Germany (14-16 May, 2015).

Mursed Alam’s research areas include subaltern life and politics, minor discourses in South Asia, Islamic traditions in South Asia. He has published articles and book reviews in journals such as Economic and Political weekly, Rethinking Marxism, Journal of Postcolonial Writing, Contemporary South Asia, South Asia Research, Kairos: A Journal of Critical Symposium etc. He has presented papers in seminars organised by Goethe University, Frankfurt, University of Oxford, University of Munster, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi University, Calcutta Research Group etc. He can be reached at mursedalam@gmail.com
